What Causes Restless Legs?

There haven't been many studies done to determine the true cause of Restless Legs Syndrome so it is our belief the following points are contributing factors.

Stress – Stress actually changes the chemistry of your body. One of the changes is the "rapid" depletion of magnesium and B vitamins. When we are stressed we use more magnesium and B vitamins then when we are not stressed. This creates a perfect environment for restless legs. While you are in a rest position at the end of the day, your body is looking to use magnesium to help your muscles relax (magnesium is a natural muscle relaxor). When your body can not find enough magnesium your mucsles begin to go into spasm causing restless legs.
Lack of Vital Minerals in our Food Supply It is a fact, the vitamin and mineral content in our food has been decreasing since the early part of the 20th century. Minerals and other nutrients have gradually been decreasing from our food supply over time due to commercial farming and a number of varoius chemicals beings used for such purposes as pesticide control and growth support (comercialization of farming). This results in a "starving effect" and leads to various ailments including restless legs. As your body does not store magnesium it is important to supplement so that the symptoms of restless legs can be addressed.
Genetic Factor Restless Legs Syndrome seems to run in families, therefore there might be a genetic factor contributing to your symptoms.
